Ingredients
1 | pound ground beef |
½ | cup onion, finely chopped |
2 | cloves garlic, minced |
1 | (10-ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chilis |
1 | (8-ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 | (4-ounce) can CHI-CHI’S® Diced Green Chiles |
1 | (1.25-ounce) packet CHI-CHI’S® Taco Seasoning Mix |
1 | cup canned corn, drained |
1 | cup black beans, drained and rinsed |
½ | cup water |
Salt and pepper to taste | |
8 | ounces spaghetti, cooked and drained |
1 | cup shredded cheddar cheese |
Optional toppings: chopped fresh cilantro, chopped green onions, sliced jalapeños, sour cream, sliced black olives, CHI-CHI’S® Thick & Chunky Salsa Medium, HERDEZ® Avocado Hot Sauce and HERDEZ® Traditional Guacamole Mild |
Directions
In large skillet over medium-high heat, cook beef 6 to 8 minutes or until crumbly and cooked through. Drain excess grease. Add onion and garlic. Cook 1 to 2 minutes or until softened.
Stir in diced tomatoes and green chilis, tomato sauce, canned chilis, taco seasoning mix, corn, black beans and water. Simmer 5 to 8 minutes or until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add cooked spaghetti to skillet. Toss together. Sprinkle cheese on top. Cover skillet with lid. Cook on low heat 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese has melted.
Garnish with cilantro and serve with optional toppings.
