Ingredients

 
cup butter, softened
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
½ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1 (10 to 16-pound) JENNIE-O® All-Natural All Natural*Young Turkey ingredients, thawed, giblets and neck removed *Minimally processed. No artificial
2 lemons, quartered
2 garlic bulbs, halved

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 325°F.

  2. In small bowl, combine butter, parsley, thyme and pepper.

  3. Inserting your hand under the turkey skin, separate skin from flesh across turkey breast and legs; rub with butter mixture. Secure skin with toothpicks.

  4. Fill cavities with lemons and garlic.

  5. Remove neck and giblets. These may be used to prepare gravy or stuffing. Plastic leg clamp may be left on during cooking. Place turkey on rack in shallow pan, breast side up. Loosely cover with foil.

  6. Remove foil after 1 hour of cooking. Roast 4-1/4 to 4 3/4 hours or until turkey is fully cooked to 180°F as measured by meat thermometer inserted into thickest part of thighs.
