Headlining the evening was the band Plain White T’s, whose signature hit, “Hey There Delilah,” brought the crowd to its feet. Opening for the well-known group were Martin Zellar & The Hardways, and local band Los Rebeldes.
Hormel Foods team members Ivan Mendoza, Greg Lopez, Jason Baskin and Gema Alvarado-Guerrero introduced the acts, along with United Way of Mower County Executive Director Molly Lanke. Austin Mayor Steve King praised Hormel Foods for its role as a major employer, extraordinary corporate citizen, and visionary force for good in the community and throughout the world.
CEO Jim Snee had the honor of welcoming the main act, but not before underscoring our belief in raising up our communities by being generous with our time and talent.
Perhaps Plain White T’s sings it best.
“You know it’s all because of you.”
