Hormel Foods Responds to Hagens Berman Lawsuit

Austin, Minn.

The company is confident that any allegations are completely without merit.

Hormel Foods Corporation (NYSE: HRL) today issued a statement in response to a press release from Hagens Berman.

“Hormel Foods is a 127 year old global branded food company with a reputation as one of the most respected companies in the food industry. We are confident that any allegations such as these are completely without merit. We intend to vigorously defend this lawsuit.”

Hormel Foods was named in the lawsuit, along with several large companies in the pork industry.

Additionally, the Jennie-O Turkey Store brand was named in the press release, but is not named in the lawsuit.

The company is represented by Faegre Baker Daniels.
