Hormel Targets New Market
Deli Market News
The makers of Hormel® Natural Choice® deli meats have announced a new approach to targeting specific customer needs, adding new single-serve lunchmeat options to appeal to smaller households. This new addition will expand the brand’s portfolio of quality, 100 percent natural deli meats, bacons, and snacks made without artificial ingredients or preservatives.
“We’ve received feedback from consumers that smaller households sometimes struggle to get through the entire package of lunchmeat, so we wanted to provide a convenient option for them,” said Samantha Balaski, Brand Manager. “They are also perfect for on-the-go snacks for those seeking additional protein throughout the day.”
Hormel rolls out its new single lunchmeat options to appeal to smaller households
Each package contains two ounces, or five slices, of the brand’s all-natural deli meat, which offers a more convenient choice for consumers who are not looking to buy in bulk, according to a press release. The new smaller packages will be available in four flavors—roasted turkey, applewood smoked turkey, honey ham, and cherrywood smoked ham. With each package containing nine to ten grams of protein, this line is ideal for dieting consumers looking for low-carb, high-protein snacks.
The new two ounce resealable pouches will be available at Hy-Vee, Price Chopper (Golub), Grocer’s Supply, Woodman’s, Giant Carlisle, Brookshire, Cub Foods, Meijer, and Shaw’s stores this summer.
