The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Green Power Leadership and Market Development award (GPLA) for its outstanding commitment to green power.

Hormel Foods has been recognized for outstanding clean energy initiatives and for our impact on the green power market.

The company matched nearly 819 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of green power in 2023 with renewable sourcing, which is enough to meet 89% of domestic energy use and 85% of the organization’s total energy use.

We are proud to continue growing our approaches to renewable energy, including successful solar and wind projects. To operationalize our commitment to clean energy, we are intent on matching 100% of our electricity use with renewable sourcing by 2030. On an annual basis, we are committed to a 1% reduction in our energy consumption and intensity.

By choosing green power, Hormel Foods is taking action against climate change and moving toward a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable planet.
