As vice president of marketing – Retail., Scott Weisenbeck is responsible for managing all brand-building marketing activities for the Hormel Foods portfolio of retail refrigerated meats and meals.

Weisenbeck joined Hormel Foods in 1992 as a Meat Products sales representative in the Denver, Colo., area. He advanced through various territory manager roles before becoming an associate brand manager in Meat Products at the Corporate Office (Austin, Minn.) in 1997. Beginning the following year, Weisenbeck advanced through brand management and senior brand management roles in Meat Products and Grocery Products, then in 2005 was named group brand manager for Meat Products. During his career he managed many of Hormel Foods iconic brands including the SPAM® brand, Hormel® pepperoni, Hormel® Chili, and many others. Weisenbeck was instrumental in the creation and launch of the Hormel® Natural Choice® brand. He became the director of integrated marketing and planning for the Hormel® brand in 2009, and was named marketing director for Grocery Products in 2013. He was named assistant vice president of marketing – bacon in 2022 and assumed his current role in 2025.

Weisenbeck is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, has an MBA from the University of Colorado Denver and has completed the Reinventing Leadership executive program at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

He has served on the parish council and finance council at the Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church.

Weisenbeck and his wife, Cathy, have a son and daughter and enjoy spending time with them.
