The House of Tsang Story
Founded by contemporary and well-known chef David Tsang, House of Tsang products draw on the flavors and spices of his childhood in Hong Kong; spicy ginger, bright citrus, classic teriyaki. He eventually left Hong Kong to pursue a degree in electrical engineering, but kept his memories of home alive by recreating his mother’s signature dishes on his own.
David’s love of the foods and flavors he grew up with increased as he continued his career, and even as he spent his days operating the Stanford Linear Accelerator, his nights were spent tinkering with his family’s favorite recipes, handed down through generations. Eventually he quit his day job to pursue his passion full-time, and created House of Tsang products with the same commitment and attention to detail that he had honed throughout his engineering career. As David himself says, “I used to crush atoms, and now I crush garlic!”
He built the House of Tsang product line on the ideals of clean, authentic flavors, easy and convenient products and his desire to show others how simple it is to create healthy, nutritious Asian food at home.
