Hormel Foods Locations Receive AMI Environmental Awards
For 2008, 25 Hormel Foods and subsidiary locations received environmental awards from the American Meat Institute through AMI's Environmental MAPS program, the most environmental awards received in company history. The program recognizes industry excellence in environmental practices for companies dedicated to the development and implementation of Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
Tier 1 Master Awards recognize the development of an environmental policy, commitment from upper management, adoption of pollution prevention, emergency response and preventive maintenance plans for environmental systems and monitoring of energy and environmental systems. Winners:
